It’s been two years since the end began.

In the aftermath of the great collapse, Chris finds himself strangely suited for this new world. During one such journey through the hinterlands, Chris suddenly finds himself in a bad situation. Injured, robbed of everything but the clothes on his back, and caught in the middle of a worsening blizzard, it's going to take a lot to get out of this one alive. To complicate matters, he soon finds himself in the company of two very attractive women. Though some complications are more welcome than others...

With his previous situation resolved, and two very attractive women now in his company, Chris takes on his next task: getting Delilah to her intended destination. Theoretically, it should be a straight shot down a long highway.

Only in this new, frozen wasteland of a world, nothing is ever simple. What would have been less than a two hour drive in the old days is now possibly a two week trek through icy hell. Vicious wildlife, dangerous men with ill intent, and brutal cold are just some of the potential threats Chris and the women will face on their long walk down the highway.

But at least they have each other...

The long journey down the highway has come to an end, and as Chris and his girls at last find the town of Pine Lake, they discover that tragedy has struck.

Raiders have burned down almost the entire town. Most of the population is dead, missing, or scattered across the region. Food reserves and medicine stocks were lost in the fire. Dangerous men and animals roam the frozen wilderness as temperatures plummet.

Though met with distrust at first, Chris soon becomes instrumental in helping rescue the survivors of Pine Lake before they lose everything...

Three months have passed since Chris helped save what remained of Pine Lake.

He has finally been forced to face a problem that has hounded him since he began his nomadic lifestyle in the face of this new apocalypse: he has found a place that he wants to call home, but his intense wanderlust is driving him insane. Acting on a suggestion from the women in his life, he decides to try a compromise and has set out to wander for an extended period of time, then come home.

Chris has been out there in the wilderness for a month now, and in total isolation for the past week. As he begins wondering if he'll ever be free of his desire to wander, if he'll ever find a way to settle down and make a life for himself, he meets two beautiful women who are having their own problems.

Things get heated when he agrees to help them out…

What started out as a relatively simple encounter with two highly attractive women trying to survive in the frozen wilderness is now rapidly becoming more complicated for Chris. His relationship with Lara and Susan is growing into something much more complex and emotional, and on top of that, Jessica has just arrived on their doorstep with her daughter Hannah. She reveals that she has left her neglectful husband for good, and consequently needs a place to stay.

While Chris is more than willing to take them in, and to continue the tentative relationship he had begun exploring with Jessica before this whole situation, it soon becomes obvious that her now ex-husband and his bodyguard are not willing to just let this go. As Chris continues his work to provide not just for two women but now four, he's going to have to watch his back more than usual...

After nearly two months out away from Pine Lake and the women in his life, Chris is finally ready to head back. Feeling like he's conquered his demons, or at least won a decisive battle against them, and learned some crucial things about himself and his relationships, he's eager to return home and continue his life there.

But it's going to be a long walk, and although he isn't too concerned about the day-to-day difficulties of traveling across the frozen wilderness, he's nervous about traveling with the four women he's picked up while out finding himself. Besides the practical difficulties that come with such a journey, he's now discovering a new problem.

Hannah, who claims to not have any interest in him whatsoever, is beginning to act strangely around him, and if it leads to where he thinks (and secretly hopes) it's going, then his life is about to get a lot more complicated...

The situation could be worse, but not by much.

While Chris was out finding himself and answering some crucial questions about how he wants to live his life, tragedy and bad luck was striking Pine Lake repeatedly. After a series of accidents and a run of poor luck, culminating in a freak storm, Chris has returned home to learn that the place he intended to settle down is no longer capable of sustaining life in any long-term fashion.

To make matters worse, Megan led a team off on a desperate expedition to follow a modern day treasure map to what they hope to be a cache of supplies locked away in a remote prepper's bunker. Only Megan's team never came back. Now, Chris and Hannah must launch a daring rescue operation of their own. Not just to find Megan and the others, but to help keep the residents of Pine Lake alive long enough to hopefully figure out a way to avoid extinction...

Chris, Hannah, and Megan braved the icy horrors of the frozen wastelands. They fought for their lives, endured brutal conditions, and managed to find exactly what they were looking for: a forgotten bunker full of precious resources.

Unfortunately, the bunker was just a temporary stop-gap. The slow death of starvation still looms on the horizon for the denizens of Pine Lake. If they can't figure out some way of solving the problem, they'll lose everything.

Chris and the women he loves have devoted everything to figuring this out, to making this life of theirs work. When they discover old plans in an abandoned house deep in the wilderness, they figure that they may just have a shot at salvation after all...

The time has come to risk it all.

What remains of Pine Lake is a dead end, and the best hope for Chris, the women he loves, and the denizens of the settlement now lay in a town of preppers living on an island a few hundred miles to the north. All of their faith is now being put into that settlement, and the train that Chris discovered and Fay repaired.

Even with a mostly functional train and a lot of luck, it will still be a long journey. Any number of dangers, environmental, animal, and human, could lay in between them and their destination. More than ever hangs in the balance, and whether or not he wants the job, everyone is looking to Chris to get them there...

Ten months have passed since Chris and the women he loves have settled into their new life at Persistence.

Life is rough but satisfying. Long days spent hunting or gathering firewood, or going on expeditions to salvage useful supplies from distant, long-abandoned towns.

But the snowy apocalypse isn't all work and no play. Today, something special is happening. Chris isn't sure what, but he knows Hannah has something fun (and sexy) planned for him...
