The Misty Vixen Newsletter | June 2026

I’m still recovering, I’ll just get that out of the way.

Obviously, I didn’t really get anything done last month. That being said, I didn’t do nothing. Here’s what I managed to do.

And that’s it, unfortunately.

So far, not much has changed. I’ve got a couple of answers with regards to my medical mystery. So far, it’s good in the sense that we know a couple more things it isn’t. But that’s still kinda…nerve-wracking. So I’m still kind of living in its shadow. Other than that, things are finally starting to calm down and, more importantly, it seems like they’re going to stay calm for a little while. Which is good, given I’m really needing to be able to get back to writing regularly.

So, as for June? I’ve figured out a couple of things, but it’s not going to be much better than May, unfortunately.

  • Obviously, I didn’t get By the Hearthfire’s Light up. I’ve run into a stumbling block on that one. In short: I am REALLY not feeling it, but I can tell it’s not really because of the story, it’s because of me. And because of that, I don’t want to just abandon it. So I am…figuring something out. I’ve got an idea of how I want to handle it, but things are still in a state of flux right now, so I don’t want to say anything further except: sorry.

  • Lara and I agreed to set Tomboy Supremacy 3 aside for the moment to give me some time to get Our Own Way 7 written. So yes, I will begin making real progress towards getting this done. As in: I’m not going to stop until it’s done. I doubt I’ll finish it in June, but it should almost certainly be out in July.

  • I will also be working more consistently on Parasexual. I’m going to start posting the updated version to Patreon.

  • Beyond that? I’m not going to say except that I believe I’ve settled on what I want to do for my ‘I gotta get something new out that’s not a serial but an actual, real novel’ situation. But I believed that with my mutant shark story and here we are.

Sorry things are still such a mess.
